NY chicken lover!!!!

They can eat anything, actually fruit and veggies might help slow down their growth. Most hatcheries have information on feeding regimens for cx, and when to restrict feed.
Are you going to try to get any pullets to live passed butcher weight? I would be interested in one or two if you do.
I'm going to try and grow some out. I would like 1 pullet and 1 cockerel for breeding later . If it works I can make a deal with you. Think a cx and a giant would work well?

I have 4 that live separate and get a lot of free range opposed to the others. Then I have 4 that are on a lower protein feed free choice with no extras and 4 on high protein 2 hours morning 2 hours afternoon and 2 hours evening. The remaining 5 live with the other grow out chicks.

Well I picked up a friend today for Oreo, the Dutch bunny I got at Chickenstock. So far so good as far as them getting along, hopefully that holds up. She is super cute, nine weeks old today and she's a mini lop/Creme cross. Already nearly as big as 15 week old Oreo, so she's gonna be bigger than her, I'm sure.

Mrs.Broody is now on day 4 of sitting and still just as sweet and pleasant as can be. She has her own accommodation set up to ensure no one makes her angry . The cage she is in is the one we have used to brooder all of our chicks. I moved her nest in there and she followed happily behind.

I also got the greedy little cx their very own coop/run. Those buggers eat A LOT!! They can have fruit and vegetables correct? What about tuna?

I have a barn cat who is going to be delivering kitties soon. After that her and babies go get fixed so they can eat all the mice and moles they want but not cause a catapult in feline numbers in the area. We plan on keeping the litter but if any of you would like a mouser let me know.

Pictures when the show up please

We had a dutch when I was a kid, parents had a lot of meat rabbits but the dutch was a pet, lived in the house. We named it princess buttercup, buttercup, from the 'Princess Bride' movie (1987). Turned out it was a he Lol! pretty cool though, would chase a ball like a cat and pounce on it. Dad made a litter box with bigger hole hard ware cloth than I see available today over it, rabbit always went to the litter box just like a cat. Think the hardware cloth screen helped.

My Fawn and white runner hatched out 3 ducklings and abandoned them. 2 have died and I am looking to rehome the last one before something happens to it. I think mom or dad might be killing them. I don't know why but this is her second hatch and the first time 3 babys and she took care of them but dad was killing them I think. I don't know why. This time she wont even take care of them. She left her baby at the pond and is back sitting on her nest and wont get up.
Some boy ducks are mean
Can you take care of it ?

I think no more than 10 % of their food should be treats ..
My Brooded chicks barely eat any feed ...Mommas take them out for the free range menu .
The older ones 2 months are piggies

CornishX are a different breed of birds, diet restrictions are necessary to keep them from growing too fast, if they grow too fast leg problems and or heart-attacks can and do occur I wouldn't consider veggies and fruit a treat for them. Cx are true piggies, will eat themselves to death, done right though, the cheapest quickest birds to grow out in a super short time for meat.

so max of feed consumption 4 hours a day and free range all they want? I do have the feed in small containers spread all over the run so they are made to move around for feed.
