Sorry to hear that ...He is a Lucky Guy to have Taken on a Mink & Lived
Some Do have problems with mink ...Some dont ...
Press on it ..to see if it will clot ..if it doesnt
You can put some flour or cornstarch directly on the open wound to stop it

Was Your coop open or closed when you saw the mink ?
The reason I ask is - if it was closed you need to either button it down more tomorrow and Maybe bring them in for tonight.. as it will come back ..
Or do you have a dog or cat you can put in with them ?
They are nasty little things ..

Closed, I have a cat, and a dog but I don't trust her. She has killed 3 of my chicks when she was younger.

I locked the human door put some boards in front of it and brought them in for the night.

I've never dealt with a mink before. But I have dealt with Foxes, Coons, etc.
