NY chicken lover!!!!

I've been able to pull up the PDF, but I much prefer the way other hatcheries let you know the availability before you place an order.

I may be wrong, but I believe they only hatch out the breeds that are ordered, plus a few extras for eggs that fail to develop. I think that is why there is a roughly 4 week wait on them.

I like that they are no kill. My friend picked up our chicks, she ended up getting a few extras while she was there.
It's too bad they only do the 3 dozen hatching eggs. The prices are reasonable, but I definitely do not want 3 dozen hatching eggs. I don't have a big enough incubator!
Do they all have to be the same breed? Perhaps you could go in with a friend/friends ? Do they have Buckeyes? Do they have ducks and can ducks eggs be part of that three dozen?

Other than you fine folks, I don't know anyone else who incubates. I only plan on one hatch this year, and not until late April now.

Whew! It's been above freezing the last few days, so it was time to clean out the coop. I hadn't cleaned it all since that last warm spell. Since then I've just been piling on fresh bedding.
We got hit hard by Stella, and the ladies weren't going outside - even though we shoveled a bit of the run for them (not the whole thing....it's over 3000sq ft).

I couldn't get to our pile in the woods, and the composted is full (mostly snow...) so I tossed the old bedding into the run. The ladies were thrilled! They were also fascinated by the clean coop. You'd think it was a whole new place. I spent a good 20 minutes just watching them explore the coop they've lived in since they moved out of the brooder.

- aren't they funny? I cleaned house today (all 3) and George inspected each one when I was done! Apparently I did an ok job b/c he went off chattering away to his harem...

They really are fascinating at times. One of the austrolorps checked every single corner. She kept going through this inspection, for a moment I was concerned I'd thrown out something important that belonged to her

Is there something specific you are looking for? Where are you located? I have a bunch coming in a couple of weeks that may have what you are looking for. Here's a list of what I'm getting. I could spare a 1-2 of each depending on what you wanted.
Blk Australorps
Aracauna
White PlyRock
SLW
Buff Brahma
Black Jersey Giants
CuckMarans
Welsummers
Barred Rocks
Buff Orpington
Freedom Rangers

I'm hoping to hatch silkies, I've got two already and I think they need some friends their own size! I had ordered from a fellow BYCer, but my eggs were delayed first because of the storm, then cancelled because of the AI scare. Just bad luck all around. Im not far from Binghamton NY.

These would be chicks, not eggs. I'm planning to go to chicken stock in May if you are interested in any. I can keep them until then.
