I just cleaned the coop, and it's a muddy mess already. Muddy eggs, muddy shavings, muddy chickens.
There's probably no way to teach them to wipe their feet is there?
My coop has a covered area with gravel before they get in to the shavings. They don't wipe their feet, but a lot of junk comes off in that little bit of space.
gotta love chicken mathGood morning.... My name is Tricia..... I'm addicted to chickens with beards.....
I won an auction for more Ameraucana eggs last night. At this pace my entire incubator will be full of shipped eggs. I'll have to run it with my own flock eggs next month and sell all of them and a lot of this hatch to recoup a fraction of the costs.
Insanity.

It's hard isn't it? I want ALL the chickens. I browse the eggs and chicks forums, or the rare breed sale/swap and I realize there are all these chickens that I suddenly need to have! I don't know how people stick to one breed.
my silkie decided to go broody... again... I'd let her sit on a clutch but she likes to do her broody poops and eat and then sit in a different nesting box.... silly girl
