NY chicken lover!!!!

Hello all I am from Gouverneur NY. About 1 hr North of Watertown NY and about 45 minutes from Canada. I am very new to chickens. I just started getting them in March 2017. Started out with 9 mixed breed bantams (I think that what they are) and now have 1silky rooster and 4I believe mix iceis/rir all adults and have raised 6 barred Rock from a week old all female. Just got a barred Rock rooster last night. So I grew Fast.

I have A lot of property and want to build a large chicken tractor that is fairly easy to move with one person.

I am new to BYC. I am looking for advice on new chicks that will be hardy in the winter. The Golden Comets I have are good layers but 2 of the 6 I started out with died at a little over 2 years old. I want a breed that will live longer than that. Looking to get 6 new chicks asap. Any suggestions what to get and where to get them?

What part of the state are you in? There are plenty of members who may have chicks or pullets available.

Depending on where you are, I have some I can part with. Or we have Chickenstock coming up in a couple weeks.
