NY chicken lover!!!!

Having a problem posting, replying. DARN. We just had a friend give us
4 Dr. Whiting Chickens. They are beautiful. Does anyone know about them?

Have some silkies available if anyone is looking. Have boys and girls but girls must go with a boy.
 
The first white is a hen. The NN I'm not sure. The little white split to paint I am pretty sure is a boy. The last grey with red highlights I'm unsure what it is but leaning towards a rooster.
 
FishMtFarm: One Hen and One Rooster ....Cost? You did say the rooster was FREE in the thread. I think we would plan to take a ride to see them and make a decision. We prefer the LARGER Silkies.

Not me! I did hatch seramas this year for Chickenstock for someone who wanted them, but my friend in WV sent me the eggs, I don't have any myself.

They lay around 200 blue eggs/year. The hackles feathers are apparently superb for 'fly tying' - these 2 reasons are why Dr Tom Whiting created them apparently! :). You are lucky to have been given them they cost around $200 each usually. Nice gift :)

That's crazy, considering McMurray hatchery sells them for $5 each.
