NY chicken lover!!!!

Good morning! My name is Frank & I am a chicken hobbyist from Olivebridge, NY (about 20 minutes from Woodstock NY.). I was wondering if there are any other hobbyists in my area, on this site?
I have been in the hobby for 5 years now. I have raised Rhode Island Reds, Gold Stars, Cuckoo Marans, Cream Crested Legbars, Welsummers, Icelandic’s, Silkies, & a few mutts! I really enjoy raising my girls, along with bee keeping, & gardening.

Welcome! Sorry I’m not very close to you. Over an hour. Maybe we will meet at a chickenstock one day.

We are about an hour outside of Rochester and looking a exotic fowl. We are also interested in wild ducks to fill up our five acre pond. Please let me know if there are any avenues you know of for what I am looking for!

Hello all, haven't popped in for a bit so just saying hi :) I'm so looking forward to spring. I might set some eggs in a week, since by the time they hatch it would be March. I'm hoping my Calls start up soon, and the geese should start up soon too. I better get their nest box ready, come to think of it.

I recently started with a new breed, ko shamos. I love the little things. They have such great personalities and they look wonderfully weird.

Hey there! More wild ducks like Hooded Merganser, Vulturine Guinea Fowl. Unique and beautiful birds that we can add to our land.

You'll probably only come across those for sale as adults, since the ducklings are really hard to raise and don't ship well, unfortunately :( Although I do know someone in my area that does wood ducks, so I could ask him next time I see him at a swap if he ever does ducklings.
