NY chicken lover!!!!

@Pyxis That would be great! Where abouts are you located? We are near Rochester.

I'm over on the VT border, so I think about five hours from you. Although if we do Chickenstock this year, I could bring some to Chickenstock if he has them at that time.

Exciting times here - one of our Easter Eggers has started laying, unsure if it's Dove or Princess Di, but have never had blue shelled eggs before, so still get a little thrill when I check the nest box.

The girls enjoyed those warmer days last week, didn't even seem to care about the rain when they got the chance to peck and scratch on the muddy grass for the afternoon. They always look so funny and spiky when they get wet!

I recently started with a new breed, ko shamos.
Cute ..Where did you find them ? Do they have to be separated from others ..
they look teeny

Thanks! Yep, they are bantams, but they're feisty. They're going to have their own coop, but even if they didn't I think they'd do fine with the LF birds and give them a run for their money, lol!

I had these two shipped to me from California :)

The Continuing Cowboy Saga -
He is back with his flock .
One Roo continues to fight with him . So he is by himself .
I am noticing Scaly Leg mites on some of my chickens ..
I think he also has them as he acts like his legs hurt .
How do you treat them when it is cold outside ?
I have been spraying the roosts with diluted cat shampoo ..
I sprayed his legs when it was nicer for a few days .
He has almost healed from the frostbite he might still lose some of his points .

I pulled a muscle in my left shoulder ..
.it is hard to behave when there is so many chores to do .
