Our CCE is looking for a Poultry Judge for the Broome County Fair at the end of July. Judging 4-Hers, not a big show.

Hey everyone! I have a question, in general but it may also be different here... Laws and whatnot.

Do 4-H kids still sell their project animals at fairs like they used to?

I ask because we will most likely be looking to add a roo this summer; I would absolutely love to help a 4-H kid out, if it's possible?

You'll have to stop and look. Sometimes I'll see some with phone #s advertising they have birds/chicks/eggs for sale.

Hello fellow NYers! My flock is pretty thin right now after 2 attacks on the coop. I hate trying to integrate new birds. I pray every night to wake up and find one has gone broody.

Hi all- My family and I live in Rochester. We are looking to start a small backyard flock. My mother raised chickens and ducks as a girl so this is something we've been very excited to do.
I've been searching for a long time and haven't had much luck finding any available of the following breeds: Lavender Ameraucanas, Easter eggers, Lavender orpingtons, welsh harlequin, silver appleyard, or saxony ducklings. We are looking for just 2-3 chicks or ducklings to start. Anyone have any within reasonable distance to Rochester that they would be willing to sell?

I have some ameraucanas due to hatch at the end of the week but they aren't lavender. They will lay blue eggs tho.

Nope, they are eggs that I purchased online. I also have isbars, which lay green eggs, and Jersey Lavender Giants due.
