Little update from Wales, NY......
Have had some 'helpers' in the garden this week, as fast as I could get the compost in the holes I'd dug ready for tomato plants, this gang were pecking it back out. Only Dove our white Easter Egger was happier to stick with weeds on the lawn.
Once I got the plants in and fenced that area off, they soon caught on that the same homemade compost had been added as a top dressing for the rosemary plants - clever girls! Rosemary now up on a stand above chicken head height!
The others wandered off, Ginger stuck close - she's knows I'll find her a treat or two.....
Getting lots of nice eggs now the days are longer - 4 eggs from 4 chickens today!
Asparagus doing well this year in our veg garden, simply has to be grilled then dunked in poached eggs on toast - lovely!
