NY chicken lover!!!!

Wow. I go to work for a day and have to read through 5 pages of really cool stuff happening north of me. Really...all this hatching and egg swapping and pictures of babies and handsome roos is killing me! My cat is mad that I am spending all this time reading all this instead of holding her and worshipping her. I am now up to 7 eggs from my silkies for the bator. Got 2 more sets coming from 2 other people so I should be in business by midweek next week. Cant forget my 25 fuzzybutts will be arriving april 3rd as well. The raptors (aka my 8 laying hens) almost mugged my dh for the steak he was taking out to put on the grill. He barely got it on and covered before being swarmed. He sneaked in the front door to avoid them when it was done. I am thinking that we have no chance when the other ones grow up. We will be outnumbered, but not outwitted.

Enjoy all your new additions, be they little or big. I love reading this site. Makes my whole day.

that duckling makes me miss ours.............. its so adorable..... we used to have white crested and runners.... hubby loves the crested.

Java--I hope that all works out for you and that you are able to give some cats a second chance at your house. I have always had cats and they are great company as well as good hunters. My last cat I had for 21 and a half years before I had to put her down. Take good care of them and you will have them for a long time.

Rancher--I see you are a busy man building more stuff. I hope that your arthritis is behaving itself in this warmer weather.
