Our water is frozen once again. This is the first year we've had the main line into the house freeze. The past 3 mornings we've had to thaw the lines to have water.

Ugh, that stinks. My in-laws had that problem in the old farmhouse they had. Crawl space under the bathroom wasn't insulated and separate from the main basement where the furnace was. So any night that was predicted to be cold, they let the bathtub run at a trickle all night.

New breeds for me...Brabanters . Here is a pic of a roo. I'm finding them a great bird, not flighty, pretty to look at, don't eat much, and actually lay a lot of eggs, big shiny white eggs.

I reckon the little flap is off. Do you have particular vent cover you prefer over another? Ours is this kind. I think the little metal flap inside has come off again.
