I sent eggs for the Easter swap to TN. Tracking said they went to Georgia then to TN. Shipped on Monday received Friday afternoon. Priority mail $16.85 shipping. "Guaranteed" 2-3 day. Yeah, right.

Were they still viable after that trip? Mine are coming from Ohio.

Morning all! Boys are talkative this morning. Must be the cold air. Came home yesterday and let everyone out for some freerange time. A guest had brought me a bag of frozen turkey carcass and two ham bones so I spread them out in the yard while the terrorists and divas watched and then released the beasts. They were thrilled with the goods and just being out of their runs. I think it has helped settle everyone down a bit now that they have been out every day for at least an hour or more. The funniest part was when a couple of the barred rocks thought they were going to get ahead of everyone and took off flying, landed on the ice patch and couldnt get traction to fly off again. I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself. All I could see was flapping wings and feet skating all over the ice trying to find some purchase.

Candling the other incubator tomorrow. Hopefully my heritage rir eggs and silkie eggs are developing nicely in there. I have to get the dog cage brooderized this weekend so its ready to go when these guys hatch.

In case I didnt already tell you---I did create a banana cream pie drink. So now we have a whole pie drink lineup: Banana cream pie, chocolate banana cream pie, lemon meringue pie, key lime pie, coconut cream pie and apple pie a la mode. Some days I really love my job!

.....The funniest part was when a couple of the barred rocks thought they were going to get ahead of everyone and took off flying, landed on the ice patch and couldnt get traction to fly off again. I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself. All I could see was flapping wings and feet skating all over the ice trying to find some purchase.

Reminds me of those Scooby Doo episodes where the "gang" is so scared, their feet are going to those silly sounds, but no one's getting anywhere!

In case I didnt already tell you---I did create a banana cream pie drink. So now we have a whole pie drink lineup: Banana cream pie, chocolate banana cream pie, lemon meringue pie, key lime pie, coconut cream pie and apple pie a la mode. Some days I really love my job!

This proclamation comes too close on the heels of my colonoscopy prep, where they include all these terrific sounding flavor packets in with the vile prep solution.

As if....! Pharmchick, if u could invent some prep concoction that actually was not vile and disgusting, you'd make a million. I'd be your first customer.
