My Luna is a nice hen while being broody, thank goodness. At least so far. I take the top off the litter box, roll her to one side to collect eggs, roll her to the other side to get the rest, a quick pick up if I think I missed one, then back down and lid on. Just a small growl when I'm pushing her around, but never threatens to be mean. Little girl looks forward to going out to the barn, because now there is a big soft, fluffy hen to pet in the box. She talks quietly to her and tells her what a good mommy hen she is. Now I just need to get some eggs to put under her, just no time to get out and do it! Our own eggs are being sold to customers, so want to buy a small batch of Welsummer and SS eggs from Deb in Fabius to hatch out. I'd be losing money on eggs either way if the hatch fails, may as well try to get some of the breeds I want.
