Lynzi,
I do not think you are mean at all. Kids have to learn manners. If they don't learn them from their parents, who will they learn them from?
X2 agreed I do the same!

Adorable!! I think I had a few frizzles in those eggs you gave me, but they are too young yet to see any frizzling. I'll have to peek at them closer tonight when I go lock up.My first frizzle chick!!!
This one just started to show the curl in it's feathers about a week ago. It is 3 weeks old.Adorable!! I think I had a few frizzles in those eggs you gave me, but they are too young yet to see any frizzling. I'll have to peek at them closer tonight when I go lock up.![]()
Two get a frizzle one parent must be frizzle and the other must be smooth. If you breed 2 frizzles together you get chicks with problems. Sometimes they will be featherless. So if this is a rooster I will put him with a bunch of hens. There is a chance you get smooth feathered chicks when you breed frizzles and smooths together but if you take the chicks and breed it back to a frizzle you will almost get 100% frizzles. Now when you say "first frizzle" chick, CountryBoy, were both parents frizzles or did you breed two to GET the frizzle? What two breeds make up the frizzle chicken again?
Gotcha! So how did the first frizzles come about? What two breeds were bred? Two get a frizzle one parent must be frizzle and the other must be smooth.
