join us on the "what are you canning thread. Lots of stuff just needs a water bath canner. I've made Plum Lime jam, Plum , Raspberry Blueberry, Nectarine Blueberry. Black Currant Rhubarb. Now getting ready to do Apple sauce as soon as I can catch a break.I need a new project to work on. Haven't been outta a work a week and I'm already getting bored. I was thinking of building a larger run for the silkie coop. I'd attach it at the front door. This way they can get out a little more. I was going to use the round pen I was using for the ducks but it's just a "pen" and isn't covered. So the other chickens could easily fly up and into it. I have wood, chicken wire, and hardware mesh. I might as well. Wouldn't have to go out and buy supplies. It's just been so hot here! Maybe once the fall weather comes I'll be in the mood to do it.

yesI've heard lots of talk on this "canning" subject. I always wondered what people do with this stuff after canning? Does it get put in a recipe? Eaten by itself?
