Well I just managed to drag two shipping crates (one is my brooder and the other was the original "run" to the duck house I made) to the shed and got them stacked on one another. Should still have more than enough room for the mower to get in there. I'm thinking of keeping my silkies/frizzles in pairs in these crates over the winter rather than outside. Another reason for doing this is because I want to separate the two lavenders anyway and make sure my lavender's eggs are fertile from just the lavender roo and not the splash roo. Also, if I do hatch eggs thru winter I have the heat lamp in the shed now with the brooder and I can just run an extension from my side porch to the shed. I have one more crate to move to the shed but I want to get the mower in there first and that won't be for a couple more weeks. I also thought of the idea of moving my brooder box to the front porch and keeping in the left hand corner since thats the corner thats sort of blinded from the street. No one would even be able to see it there. And there is a plug right there on the porch so no extension would be needed. So I have some options in case I try another hatch soon.
