NY chicken lover!!!!

Rancher and Pyxis, You cut material of your choice about 2 inches

wide and start the looping. This rug is made of rags. As you loop you hand sew additional strips and keep looping and adding strips. With the looped rugs, it is all done with just this one step. (no need to sew)

With the braided: you cut strips of material about 2 inches and have 3 strangs of material going at one time (and you do a simple braid) you keep working until you finish the length

of braid and then hand sew on more material and continue.

After you have a length of braid.....you hand stick the braid together and just keep going.

This method is easier. The loop system is difficult to explain here. It is a matter of looping the material (after it is cut and stiched) to the other strip....in and out. NO SEWING.

I'm afraid I'm a visual learner so you will have to bring your stuff to the picnic and give us all lessons on how to do this. :D
Audio and Visual is BEST. Perhaps we may be able to make the picnic May 17th
in Rome hosted by Tab. If we can make it I will bring supplies and demonstrate. Our schedule is hectic but we are trying to keep this date open. We look forward to meeting everyone.

We have learned a lot from all. Regards, Aria

.Are you afraid of them ?
My sister in law is ...a few years ago she called me ..Can you come up here ?
Me : whats up ? Her : there is a mouse in the kitchen ..
I go up there her & her daughter are standing on kitchen chairs ..I dont remember how I caught it but I remember taking it outside .

I have since captured a mouse in our bath room when the cat was playing with it ..
I didnt want it to get in the rest of the house & we lose it ..so I stepped on it with my foot grabbed its tail & took it outside ..

I will be there whether ya'll want me there or not lol. I plan on bringing my son and daughter and maybe wife if she don't have to work. Any idea if we are going to make a thread about it or keep it to the NY thread? I know they are busy with a baby so I don't want to bug them too much.

I was thinking a new thread so we can keep track of who has what birds/hatching eggs to trade or sell. Also what other items people might bring to trade or sell. I know I will bring chicks/eggs if people want ee's/spare buff silkie roos. Also I want to try and get an order ready for aarron's farm so I can get some birds or eggs for people if they want. I know its a pain to get birds/eggs so figure try to help out if I can. I know rancher wants some nice cuckoo silkie hatching eggs

. Also I can probably bring any type of juice people may want since I work in a juice factory.

Sorry I know its still early I just hate last minute planning. Now the actual doing of stuff I don't mind procrastinating till last minute lol.
Tab was saying that she want to wait to set that up because you can only edit a post for so long and then it's shut. She will handle that when she's ready.

Of course you're wanted. No one should stay away.

I'll come right out and say it. We may not all have the same personalities or likes and dislikes, but if we as adults can not set the example for our kids to get along that is pretty sad.

Morning!
Someone posted for 5 Magpie ducks for sale this morning on FB...but they are almost 2hrs away from me :-( if they were closer I would get one in a heartbeat. However I don't know if she's looking to rehome all 5 together or if she would even let just one female go. :-/

No plans today other than trying to clean up a little outside. It's windy out so I'm sure I won't be able to stand being out there for too long.

I'm really attached to my SS they always come running and hang out around my feet looking for treats. Unfortunately I'm planning on moving into my bf's house and I don't think he would be happy with me bringing 30 hens along haha

ha ha ha yeah I hear you ... I am lucky in that I have the acres and pasture - so I can expand.

PM me if you want any pics of my place or the SS roo or any questions .... if you decide to keep them, I am totally cool with that - just wanted you to know I've been jones-ing for some SS hens ... and I do let mine live out their life - as I have so much land and so many berry patches -that for me, just bug control is earning their keep. My chickies are great on the japanese beetle issue.

I am loving two days in a row to get outside and clean up from the frigid days - I have to admit I sometimes just toss or drop things in such cold and head inside - so I have some pans and buckets and strings to gather up.

Thanks rancher.

Ughhh, was letting the cheeps out today and it looks like Gru had gotten some frostbite at some point. The last tip of his comb closest to his neck is turning green. YUCK! Anything I should or can do for it?? Is it just going to fall off?

I would just leave it and watch for inspection. You could always rub some coconut oil on it. It's a great healing oil.

Snow melted enough I could shovel a path out into veggie garden. Girls were VERY happy
