[Coop de Cuse]

Sorry to laugh but I've built and rebuilt a number of times as I find one thing doesn't work as well as I'd like. Next up is exterior nest boxes in the Delaware side of the coop. This will give them more floor space inside the coop.

Nothing works the same for everyone.

I spend most of my free time upgrading and coming up with new ideas to make things easier...it's a hobby

My future plans involve a greenhouse attached to the coop for winter veggies

Gramma Chick - I have 1 Dominique. She's a consistent layer of small/med. eggs but not prolific. Very friendly, I don't know if it was just the batch I got but 2 out of the 3 died,

Lynzi777 - they are gorgeous - especially the duckling! Makes me want to get ducks..........

I was home sick today with a sore throat and a fever, yuck. But there was an eggsplosion today and I suddenly got tons of eggs, so that was nice. I also got to play with my two babies who settled in well in the workshop. Chicks always brighten my day The birds were more energetic today too - I think they enjoyed the warm weather and think that spring is coming soon. A bunch of wild birds are starting to show up too, so I'm hoping they're right and after this next deep freeze we warm up and stay there. That might just be wishful thinking though.
