This is our new 'lake'!! Water is about 3-4 ft above normal Phelps road was completely covered shortly after this photo Neighbors' trailway Road flooding & subsidance. Water now receding quickly. The levels have dropped by 1-2 ft already.

Wow I only had water this deep for about 4 hr

We just got back from that 4 hour trip one way to Plattsburgh to get sons stuff home from college for the summer that trip is so tiring. Normally it isn't so bad cause we stop along the way and look at the scenery stretch our legs but today with the rain I just drove the 4 hours straight through each way. Got home to 10 new Ancona ducklings and 2 Silver Blue Ameracaunas that had hatched while we were gone. Now got to get stuff ready for tomorrow can't wait to meet everyone that I do not know.

listening to the Annie soundtrack with the baby. I realized it's how I feel about tomorrow lol rainy here all day today

OMG...now that song is gonna be stuck in my head for the rest of my life.

My daughter was in "Annie" while in High School. (They needed BIG orphans to lift Annie during one scene) Because I was there at all the rehersals they talked me into being in charge of the orphans (some as young as 5) to make sure they hit their cues and marks. There were 49 of them. It was fabulous to view. BUT if I NEVER EVER EVER see " Annie" again it will be too soon. (I figured with all the rehearsals and actual production dates I saw the thing almost 75 times. Which is about 70 times to many for my liking LOL)

I've been contemplating adding two to my flock.

I can use some sun and dry time. Mowing to do in the back and the woods are all green. Can't see into them now. The tree that fell is still alive and growing. Needs cutting soon.

what does everyone do with the pine shavings from the brooder when cleaning it out? Are you composting it? That is what I plan on doing unless someone can tell me why I shouldn'

I have low spots in my yard that I dump it in. Use it for mulch around trees or add to compost. Mostly when I dump the coop cleanings the birds come along and go through it again. I do add some peat moss or other soil to the compost pile too. You can even add cardboard as long as you pull off the plastic tape. Don't use waxed or plastic coated cardboard.

45 hours south of buff.. i am guessing florida ..lol..sorry i couldnt resist..lol

I get lost a lot.....When the wife drives it's only like 45 minutes.

I like the tree idea! I have some little fruit trees I need to move this weekend so I think I may just mix this in with the dirt used to fill the hole back up and then add extra as mulch around the top. Good call.
