NY chicken lover!!!!

Anyone have any ideas of a cheap way to make some rooster pens that I can keep outside near/at my chicken coop? I tried calling some True Value stores near by to see if they got their supplies in wooden shipping crates like my old hardware store did but they don't. I need to find a cheap way to do this but something durable as well.
My little coop is built out of 2x4s and cattle panels, it's 8x8x4 and cost less than $100 to make.

Some of you might remember that I posted about picking up some "araucanas" at an auction a few weeks ago that were missing their tail feathers. I couldn't find a number to call the club so I'm just going to let it go and consider it a lesson learned. Their tails are starting to grow back in and I finally got some pictures of them, they are rather flighty girls.

:( So someone pulled out all their tail feathers to pass them off as purebred araucancas? That's awful.

Took some pics of my flock while tossing out treats last Friday. Poor Mr Roo has a partially naked neck with molt. And some pics of the frizzle that Luv is getting tomorrow.

. It would be a cute tattoo. I always wanted one but figure I would get sick of it after a year or two. Finally found someone to butcher my older layers. Freezer camp this Saturday. One egg a day from 15 hens is a little ridiculous. Especially since I feed them organic. Not cost effective right now. Just trying to weed out the Roos from the 16wk olds moving up to take their place is difficult. I don't mind missing one too in the bunch just don't want to keep more than that.

That is one thing that seriously irks me... when people move into a neighborhood and then complain to make the neighbors conform to their idea of what things should be like... This happened in Nantucket... there was a farm with chickens and roosters and then people bought adjacent land and built a home and then complained about the rooster crowing... so the 100 year old farm (maybe older) had to get rid of the roosters. Like, really???? I would say, if you visited the land before sale... you knew... so tough chicken sh...
My land has been a tourist spot for a few hundred years... from native americans on... we had to put up posted signs because the world has become so litigious.

Isn't that strange? I would expect a terrier to go after chickens, but not the Pyrenees' or the cattle dog. I have 2 Beagles who are very good with the birds. However, I wouldn't trust them with baby chicks....just too tempting. They are ok with the neighbors chickens/ducks too......

I think part of the problem is they are both mixes. Plus the Pyr doesn't like anything coming into "his" yard since he couldn't care less about the chickens as long as they are on their side of the fence. The cattle dog I think feeds off the pyr's excitement when they fly over. One flew over the fence once when the pyr was inside and the cattle dog just looked at it and walked away. I wish I had dogs that were very good with the birds...
