Howdy,Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. Bought a house in Tully in February, and got my first 6 chicks about a month ago. I'll be re-homing a couple of them (at least that's the plan!) in a few weeks.
I just discovered a strange scientific phenomenon. My barn is 5 times further from my house when I am trying to collect eggs during a thunderstorm with pouring rain!
Yep! same here...skies are getting darker! I don't have egg laying hens yet, they're only just now in the coop as of a week ago. Better go check on them before the storm! It looks like that storm is moving my way, too. The wind is really picking up here and the sky is getting dark. Luckily I already grabbed my eggs before heading to work![]()

Thanks -yup - I used the heat treated pallets for both coops. It worked out real well. When I ran out of wood, I used the 'toxic' pallet wood for areas the peeps won't be able to reach.Hey, that's a cool coop. did you use pallets for it?
