NY chicken lover!!!!

As of now no sign of them. Cheeka left a message with a supervisor at my local sort facility but she hasn't messaged me again yet so I doubt she's heard anything back.

I've also sent two messages to the seller over the past two days just to keep them aware of the situation and so far I've heard nothing back :/ It's very possible she just hasn't seen them yet but the way this whole thing is going it just makes me nervous.
any word on the chicks yet?

Pyxis, on that other thread, the woman who's ducks were routed the wrong direction cross country, she finally located them after some time, she was lucky someone at the PO was willing to feed and water them and then send them in the right direction. You might know her from the duck threads 'minihorse927'.
I don't remember the exact details, but all ended up well for her, wish you the same.
I'm kinda leaning towards theft though, they weren't labeled 'super expen$ive rare breed chicks' were they? I hope not.

Not labeled as being super rare, thank goodness.

They finally turned up - after I called the 1 800 number, waited on hold forever, got someone, told them they were going to die if I didn't get them today, and the person opened up some sort of thing to find them. However, it is not happy news :( The seller did all she could - they had two heat packs and a cup of grogel. The heat packs had gone cold, since it has been over 72 hours since they were shipped. The cup of grogel was flipped upside down with all the grogel still in it, so the chicks couldn't eat it. This tells me that their box was flipped upside down at one point.

Unfortunately most of them were DOA. I'm trying to bring a couple back from the brink of death, but they're looking rough. One died as I was trying to revive them already.

Is there anything that can be done with regard to the USPS apparent blatant disregard to animal welfare?

I am so sorry for your loss. How many times I've looked at a dead chick trying to will it back to life. Staring at it hoping to see it breathe. I guess it's a feeling of helplessness.
