NY chicken lover!!!!

I need plumbing help. Well advice. Our pressure tank needed air today. Jon brought it up to proper pressure. Then our lines plugged with smuck from the tank. That in turn ruined our bathroom plumbing and clogged our kitchen.

Now the question. What can I do ,cheaply , to break the smuck up before it kills all our plumbing. We have country well water an electric water heater ( which is 1/3 full of smuck) and 1 pressure tank.

Thanks in advance, I can't stand plumbing.

I can't really say but you might consider googling it and see what you find. Google your brand of tank.

FYI, to everyone else. DO NOT flush baby wipes. Not everything that says flushable is. A friend was relating a story of her daughters sewer line being plugged and while her dad came to help he couldn't get it all unplugged. They'll have to pay for a plumber.

Well my cream legbar is now broody. Oh boy. No eggs for her to sit on though. I really want to start my flock over with light brahmas because my rir and br are so mean and I miss my huge light brahma rooster, bob. He was always a joy.

My silkie rooster passed last night. No idea why. He was really small but a bully.
Iv'e got eggs if you want them. Free for the coming and getting. Dels, C. Rocks and M. Daisies.

We live in a trailer so drainage of the system is super easy. Already removed all screens and such still no water in kitchen and bathroom has brown water. Pump is in ground. Guess it's off to TSC to buy a new tank and flush the water heater until the cows come home. Figured I would ask if anyone had quick fix. Thanks.
I've read but haven't that you need to flush the water heater as sediment builds up.

I'd like to replace ours with an non chimney vented one so we can take the chimney down and increase wall space.

Other than the weasel everything is going pretty well, stupid thing brought me down to 11 girls :(
I love my new job, perfect for me! Been working a lot so my house is a pit but I have off till the 15th so I am going to deal with it between doctor and car appts.

How is every thing with your flock and family, you started a new job not to long ago right?

Everything is going well here. Adjusting to my new schedule in how we do things. The new job is going well, less stressful. We are geering up to start our first hatch of the year in the next few weeks. I am getting eggs from my friend in NH and running some of ours. We started renovating a wall in our kitchen too.

Some of my normal OE.

Well I put the light on in the back hoop coop and finally got an egg. The OE laid one but it wasn't fertile. Gave everyone some Probiotics in their water. I don't know what I'll do with the marans if they don't clear up their messy butts. I did let them out a few days since it's so nice.

Got a free hat from TSC with a coupon they sent me in the mail. They also sent some others but nothing I use. I also got a run down of what I bought last year and how much I spent. Anyone here know someone that works there, tell them it's a good thing. Wish Country max would do that.

They've got some Jesse Stone movies and we bought a couple. BJ has them for $1 less but the folks at TSC are my friends so I got them there.

Yes, with three Marsh Daisies added.  I tried to sell them but no takers. They're very nice and come when called. The follow me around.

Frenchy, if she makes it,  will be eight in a couple weeks. While I want to get out of the chicken business I won't be able to do anything completely until she goes. To move her would be to dangerous. Chickens don't deal with stressful things very well. So I expect to keep a few for a while.

I do have a marans and ee pullet coming up. I'll be selling the incubator I expect.

I'll have to check my chicken breed book to see what Marsh Daisies look like -- what a pretty name for a breed!

Wow, Frenchy is a senior citizen. You've taken such good care of her. I remember your two giant roos, Mario and Luigi was it? Marans?

If you don't mind me asking, why are you looking to phase out of chicken keeping? I hope everything is ok health and family wise. I've been out of the coop loop!

Have a good wknd.

not even hiding it, hubby felt bad about the massacre and my latest loss of River, I am trying to hatch a few of her eggs and some Spitz I have
I hope you happy hatching success!!! We did that when my blue isbar roosters got killed. I found a stash of my blue isbar's eggs and put them in the incubator. There were 12 eggs and all of them hatched! They are about four months old now. I miss Dan and Will Wheaton every day. They were my yard patrol.
