Morning. I didn't get much sleep last night. I have 21 chicks so far. Only 4 Marans :-( I still have some more chances though. Fingers crossed for a successful day.

**update** just heard back from seller...very odd response that I can't really make out what she is even trying to say (other than she has no idea what they are)

Hi there! I'm so sorry for the delay. I have been sick and I've had some new foster kids come in... I honestly don't know what eggs those could be. I work at a poultry auction and I by hatching eggs for my personal incubator. That week I didn't have enough space so I sold the eggs. The guy who sold the eggs is a very well known breeder here. Not sure what those could be but to be honest, I have hatched one just like it and I still do t know what it is. I'm so sorry about that. They even have feathered feet. Mine doesn't have the feathered feet. So strange. Again I'm so sorry

I likely won't be using rarebreedauctions again. Both orders had super shady type things happen. I'm just glad I didn't invest too much with this lesson learned

I think it's a Silky conspiracy and that's why the wording or the response doesn't make sense. Have you looked for any signs of mechanical works? Does it make a funny buzzing noise like a machine makes? I read the National Enquirer and they had stories of chickens doing strange things and laying weird eggs. I'd lock those chicks up good at night and sleep with a gun or baseball bat if I were you. Kinda looks like they took the head of RIR and stuck it on the body of a Blue breed chicken. Can you see where they're connected at the neck or anything?

I too ordered from RBA and got messed up chicks. Marans and Swedish Flower hens. Crooked toes etc.etc.

Or maybe it will just grow up to be a really pretty mutt bird ................................... that chases you around the yard and tries to bite you.

Anybody need a rooster?
I know, I know, everyone in the same boat with too many roos. I have 3 Spitz from PhoredaBurds, 1 blue, 1 silver, 1 gold. Have 1 NN blue barred hatched from Pyxis' eggs. Also have a Ayam Cemani mix from Pyxis' eggs, lost his comb points due to frostbite and has mulberry, but being he is lead rooster and hasn't given me any problems, want to keep him and get rid of the other 4.
I'll be traveling east on the thruway May 4 if anyone in Albany area was interested.

Yes I do have concerns about the whole situation - and specifically her lack of knowledge. I have therefore kept these chicks away from my other birds thus far (just in case). They seem healthy. I am glad that I at least purchased eggs and not chicks from someone with this type of logic. I was cool about it and only asked for part of my money back. I will likely still leave a bad review. Sometimes I'm too nice and I have a hard time leaving bad feedback to someone I had conversations with. She seems pretty clueless so I would at least want to give others a heads up. The seller is Jlc1120

Hopefully you left feedback on the site? This is the second time in a week I have seen people ripped off with their orders....

Is anyone interested in a Roo, he's about one year old (estimating), gorgeous, great personality. He is a Black Breasted Red Phoenix Rooster. I ended up with three, and lately the other two have starting bullying him more and more. His name is George and I want him to go to a good home and not the dinner plate. He loves running up to you and eats out of your hand. He is an active crower and most of the time it is sing songy but sometimes he is still learning and it cuts off mid-way lol. I am located in Pine Island, in Warwick.
