NY chicken lover!!!!

Western NY here ( in between Rochester and Buffalo) with 7 Barred rock about 4 months old, who have enlightened my world!

Welcome, I'm also in WNY, outside of Buffalo, this is a great group, with more experienced members happy to share knowledge and give advice and of course help when the chicken math problem comes up, and you just need to find a few more chickens.....

I stopped in at Tractor Supply last night and got myself a couple of "leghorns" from their "leghorn" bin.

Morning Pyxis, cute new chicks, are the " " around Leghorns, as you doubt that's what breed these will actually turn out to be? No experience with chick ID, so if there's a joke in there, could be going completely over my head!

Thanks!

They're not chickens, lol! Never have I seen Tractor Supply be so wrong. They're turkey poults.

Oh dear! Some of their customers are going to be shocked when those grow out then! I would have had no idea if I was chick shopping. Can you tell what breed of turkey they are?

Broad breasted white, I think, since those and BB Bronzes are the only breeds that TSC allows orders for. But who knows, lol.

:thumbsup
How much did you pay for them?
I'm going to have to check TSC today, they haven't had anything since spring. Last yr they had new chicks about every month.
I definitely don't need anything but I don't think I could pass up turkey poults for chick prices lol.
