NY chicken lover!!!!

Has anyone had a Chicken with a crooked beak ? .
I dont remember him hatching with it .
Any way to straighten it ?
He ? seems to eat fine ..
It sure looks goofy

It’s my understanding that there isn’t anything that can be done about cross beak. As long as he is able to eat and drink he’s fine. If it gets worse and he can’t....might be time to send him to the freezer.

I had one with a crooked beak, not cross beak. She was not born with developed around 6 weeks I think. She ate fine and did well. And actually because she was a silkie unless she was molting I couldn’t even tell. She was a great broody hatching other hens eggs, but I never hatched her eggs.

Looks like one of my 7 week old EE hens has developed a crooked beak too...hasn’t seemed to slow her down for now. If it does later, I’m sure she will taste just as good as a chicken with a straight beak. Haha

I’m in Warwick, NY... 🤗
I have a pair of Cochin bantams, the hen is a frizzle, and a few silkies...two are roosters-🙄..
I would like a few more chicks.... I really love my Cochins.. they are so sweet.

I dont eat my chickens ...
His ? beak is on just crooked the bottom beak sticks out like scissors ...
I suspect his jaw got broke ?
His Mama nailed him a couple of times ..
He was separated..and screaming and I picked him up ..to bring him to her ...
when I put him down she pecked him ...
I think she was trying for me .
Well ...
I tried cutting his bottom beak to see if he could eat better ..
Jut the tip ..
Boy did it bleed ..
if it is still open ..I think I might put super glue on the end of it tomorrow

Hi folks. I’m looking for Shetland ducks in New York. Either ducklings or a breeding pair of adults. I have had minimal luck with hatching eggs. I managed to get one out of 12 eggs that all had detached air cells.

Could anybody point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance.

I do. I’m not spending money on feed for nothing. If they stop producing eggs, they go to the freezer. I have a cat and dog...that’s enough pets for me. To each their own though. There is room in this world for all types.
There is room for all ..
How long before you kill them ?
I have 5 year old hens who are still laying eggs
