You're 2 hrs away from me. I'm willing to meet in the middle, if interested.

My DS just looked at the thermometer in the kitchen window and it says 112*

Yes, it is in the sun but, if you work in the sun like my DH does than it does count as awfully HOT!

Why is your DS in the kitchen window , he should go where it's cooler.

I'll have to pay attention the next time I'm down in clinic - I'm not down there too often, I'm on the 2nd floor in the admin offices. I'd love to meet at the coffee cart one day! I'm addicted to that place and it's nice to just get out of the office for a few minutes!! I'm at extension 5-6753 - give a buzz then next time you're heading over! It would be fun to put names with faces!

No A/C in the house - dosen't really matter where you stand when it is this hot. Glad it dosen't last long. My Sister lives in FL - it's that hot everyday and has been for almost a month!

YUCK!

Hello AmyJ!!!!
After that way toooo long, stormy winter we had, you'll NEVER hear me complaining about the heat(smile)!!! As long as I pace myself and keep the flock as comfortable as possible, bring on the Summer!!!

Yesterday, when I got home from work my boyfriend and I were finishing up the run for the coop, I let the chicks outside to run around and the poor babies didn't want to, they just ran up to the coop and curled up into a ball. But after it cooled down some they were out and about. They have no fear of the lawn mower, saw hammer or anything that makes lots of noise. Is this normal?

well all we sent our cornish crosses to be butchered monday and now I have 8 lovely looking whole chickens in my freezer! Can't wait to cook them up! It was a great deal for me, they cost 1.00 each at TSC, butcher cost me 2.00 each then whatever the hungry little buggers ate in 8 weeks! Sure I can buy a whole chicken on sale at the grocery store but I know these will taste better and not be full of hormones!!!

We are leaving tomorrow for FL, back on monday just a quick trip down, glad it's hot here, it's preparing me for the FL sun!! Have a freat weekend!

Amy Mitelli---I will definitely buzz you up sometime! We can meet for an overpriced but yummy coffee!!!

Take care everyone!!!
Amy W.
