Thanks!! I guess I'll have to do that, though I usually don't feed them in there hmmmm.......I did let them be all summer I thought they'd have the brains to go in when it got cold!! Oh and I have 3 Amber links, 1 NH, 1RIR and my high flyer is the oh soo annoying but pretty girl Brown Leghorn she's flighty, and noisy!! But she's my sons girl so she has to stay =/

You don't say what breeds you have. Some breeds are more prone to flying high than others. If you've let them roost outdoors all summer you may have created a problem. My guess is yes they will freeze to death unless you keep putting them indoors by hand at night. You may try leaving them inside the coop for a couple maybe even a few days. This may help them get the idea that this is where they need to go.
