Hmmm...that's a lot closer than Saratoga....is there a link to a web site or other information about JP's ?

Try this:

Thank you. I may have to wander down there ... without my wallet....at least until the coop is built...

Nope! Good guess, though!

They're MJ's. She's not on here. MJ's are bred with BBS. I'm an official chicken snob. I don't breed my lavender Orps to anything but the very best English style blacks I could find. My lav Ameraucana boy & split girls are from Pips & Peeps.

Sorry about that. But that's what I'm becoming myself...why do you think I chose you for my silkies and ameraucanas!

Thank god for MJ...she bought 4 of my girls just the other day...she's such a nice person and I wish she were on this board.

Sue, I heard back from Rick!! I just have to call him and we can go from there. I am willing to make the drive out there, my mother lived in Buffalo for years going to the nunnery..obviously it didn't take! LOL But I want to spend some time just her and I, and she is all for making a day trip out of it. Hopefully he will allow us to pick up the birds...if that's the case, would you want me to pick yours up? I need to see if he will let me delay picking them up until the end of April. I need to build a coop for them...I'm getting way ahead of myself here since I haven't even talked to the man yet! LOL

Chicken snobbery is contagious! Who knew?!?

Maybe he will meet you somewhere if he won't let you come to his place.

Tab's chicken obsession :

To think I have 86 chickens (nearly half are babies) and I'm calling the local TSCs to see what new chicks they have today. I just can't seem to help myself.

Stop! I got chicks in the bator and one under a broody. What am I supposed to do with them? Some are just EE crosses and unknowns. I just threw them in so I had a full bator. Probably five or six and you can have them if you want to come and get them. They're expected to hatch at the end of the month. No money just pick them up.

Let me know,

Our hatch is due to hatch this weekend and then we're loading the bator right back up again for another run. I'm just really nosy what different breeds the different stores are getting in. I love babies. Even when they drive me crazy like my girls do on occasion.

I'm picking up or hope to my Lavender Orp chicks from hinkjc this weekend and 2 black and 2 buffs and then when these hatch if most of them do that will be 32 or less. These are from Chapel Farm in Alabama. RIR, BBS and silkies. So I'll have plenty to deal with.

Gonna get rid of two GLW's , 1 sm. Dom and some Hatchery Dels and a CM or two. all two year old hens. I'm going to offer them with four del roos but whoever takes them has to take them all. Free. I don't want to give them up until the 9th of next month. I'm leaving for AL again and I'd like to leave less for my family to care for. I'm replaceing them with young girls who won't lay til May some time. But I can deal without the eggs for the time being.

You do have to pick them up though.

I gotta drive to PA this weekend so that's a lot of miles and I can't keep driving all over . DW will kill me.

Gotta go
