NY chicken lover!!!!

Here is a picture of Mr. T. He has a much better personality than some of my chickens, very friendly!

This bird looks like he's giving me the evil eye. I think he needs a good Pentecostal dunking.

Bring him to our church some Sunday night and we'll do it.

I guess I should say that I like the entire site, and am learning a lot about all phases of chicken raising, even things that I can't imagine ever doing--like hatching eggs--but I've learned never to say never.

And I really like being sort of in touch with people from the same geographic area. When people from Central to Northern New York talk about stuff, it is more relevant to me than discussions from other parts of the country which are so different. Managing heat is not much of a problem for me, only a few days a year. And, I appreciate it if people close to me have chicks or items that would be easily accessible for me. I have never felt anything negative from people talking about their flocks, new arrivals, extra stuff, or extra birds. Or where to find items.

I think this is a non problem.

Really looking forward to this week. What great weather. I only wish I didn't have meetings almost every night.

I will address this for you. I can't say that some thing can be done to trigger things so the moderators know what to target but as you will learn not everyone on the forums are nice. Some are very sensitive and don't keep in mind that they are among FRIENDS. That if something is perceived as snarky it most likely is NOT. So myself I just give folks the benefits of the doubt. I do have a weird sense of humor and it has gotten folks knickers in a twist more than once.

So for me keep in mind that I'm here cuz I care and want to be with people such as myself who are insane about chickens and ducks and rabbits and turkeys and goats and sheep and , and , and. If you think I'm being rude keep in mind that on TV somethings I say would trigger a laugh track.

Peace out , ( I don't know what that means but I heard someone say it once.)

Another thing to consider is if someone (Me

) is typing on a cell phone, things don't come out as intended. Missed words, word correct, etc.

ETA: Mr. T is a Temminck's Tragopan - Pheasant. We saw videos of the male performing his breeding "dance" and my DD's and I laughed hysterically at it=had to get one!

I don't know if what I said the other day hurt someones feeling but if I did I apologize. I enjoy this forum.

Thought I'd post some of the extra chicks I've accumulated these past few months.

I have a lot of Light Sussex/ split to Coronation. They are about 2 to 3 months old. They are very pretty and they lay eggs every day so far...
$7 each, buy 5 get one free! I might be able to sex them. I'd like to sell them as ap.Out of these chicks you will get 75% light sussex, and 25% Coronations.
This is a inexpensive way to start your Coronation or lt Sussex flock. They are a dual purpose bird, eggs & meat!

This forum is the best, everyone is very nice and helpful...I am more of a lurker than a talker, but I do enjoy following the posts. I already Amen'd...
