Thought I'd post some of the extra chicks I've accumulated these past few months.

I have a lot of Light Sussex/ split to Coronation. They are about 2 to 3 months old. They are very pretty and they lay eggs every day so far...
$7 each, buy 5 get one free! I might be able to sex them. I'd like to sell them asap.
Out of these chicks you will get 75% light sussex, and 25% Coronations.
This is a inexpensive way to start your Coronation or lt Sussex flock. They are a dual purpose bird, eggs & meat!

I forgot others....
2 Buff Orpingtons young hens $15 for both, laying now.
A couple of Orpington Marans crosses...$4.00 each look like silver cuckoos, I was going for lemon cuckoo Orps..they are the F1s.

YAY!!!! Thank you Marquisella for reposting....cuz I am on a campaign to allow us NYers to keep on keeping on...(not sure what that means, Rancher, but I heard someone say it once. LOL)

I would love to know if you got a "warning" from the mod who changed /edited your original post (you can PM me if you don't want to put it here...actually PMing is probably a better way...no sense irritating the mods, cuz really they do a good job)

IF people are not allowed to post what they have extra of on the NY thread how do we find birds? Please don't tell me the BST section, cuz it is sooo hard to deal with all the posts when you are looking for someone less than an hour away. *waves at Annie* HI Neighbor!!

Again, thanks for reposting. Now can we talk about my buying one or two of your hens that lay those dark, dark eggs? I drool over your av every time you post.

I got SIX (6) eggs today from 11 hens. Things are looking up.

Question for you who have raised chicks to laying age....does the first egg sometimes have blood on it? (And I don't mean a spot, like the whole point was covered in dried blood) If the answer is yes, the chick my silkie hatched is laying...woohoo...if not, then I have a hen with an issue. *where did I put that axe?*

Yes, I have had new layers lay bloody eggs! All worked out fine.

See this is what I mean and why we shouldn't take things to heart. I meant no one in particular here and since I haven't been to some of the postings I've manage to stay out of trouble.

This forum is the best, everyone is very nice and helpful...I am more of a lurker than a talker, but I do enjoy following the posts. I already Amen'd...

...but that is another reason I love this thread...I need to know what else I must have to add to my flock...LOL!!

All right folks I say this in all seriousness. Watch out for this one, she's trouble and she's a trouble maker.

You can get what ever you want sweet heart just don't bring it over here.

This one gives me eggs for my broody supposed to be EE's. EE's my foot! Quackers that's what they were.

I wanted ducks but tried to control my self. No help this one. Beware or you'll have turkeys.

She's knows she's my BCF (Best Chicken Friend) and takes advantage.

Not that it's hard you know. I called the doctor about my problem and I swear I heard him say, " Take two chicks and call me in the morning"..

I need an intervention.
