Hi everyone!! I haven't posted on this thread in quite a bit!! Not sure if any of you saw my pictures from Hurricane Irene, but we lost everything. Every structure on our property was actually swept away by the water. None of our belongings survived, much less our chickens.

A huge bummer since above all, I love my chickens like they were my kids, and second because they had only been in there new coop a few months, and most were just getting old enough to lay. So here I am, 6 months later, in a new home, with a new chicken coop under construction. I ordered chicks a few weeks ago because I simply couldn't wait anymore, and having them here just makes me happy! After talking with Cass (she bought some silkies off me last spring), she suggested I post here and see if anyone is interested in the "extra" chicks that I cannot keep from my order, and if anyone has any hens that are closeby, at a decent price.
The extras from my order are:
8 Partridge silkies
3 Light Brahmas
---They are all bantam straight run, and 3 weeks old today. I would be happy with $3 each, or $30 for all 11 of them.
As far as hens, I am not picky at all. I just like to keep a nice colorful flock. Would love a polish or 2, since my kids just love the way they look.
Anyway, I am in Northern Schoharie County, so if anyone is interested in my chicks, or has any hens for sale, please PM me.
I was also wondering, was anyone else on here affected by the Hurricane??
