~Oblivion~ {A Fantasy RP}

Yael rolled her eyes, "You need to grow a spine if your going to last out here." She stated as she came up to the cache she lowered herself to the ground and removed the cover over the hole. She tucked her wings in close and dropped into the hole and moved over to where she kept the weapons pulling the cloth off of them for her too look at. "Well get down here and take a look, you can have your pick." She said with a smirk as she stood back in the small hallow and crossed her arms.
Erin followed after a few seconds, gasping as she saw the weapons. She asked in bewilderment "For me?" She began looking through them, realizing quickly a sword was a bad choice:she was too weak for that. She saw a smaller wooden crossbow, and picked that up. It was somewhat heavy, but at a manageable level. She asked excitedly "Can I have this one?"

Xyla looked up at him, scanning his eyes quickly. Could she trust him? She tried to scoot back some more, falling limp once again. The pain was surging now. She wiped away her tears quickly, praying he was benign and didn't want her dead. She looked up at him, his mottled face somewhat hidden by his long hair. She began controlling her breathing as she kept her eyes and attention on him.
When she rolled over, he just about hurled. The skin was torn from her midsection, the underlying tissue exposed with blood oozing out as her heart beat. Okay, okay, okay. Think. What are you supposed to do in a situation like this? Think, Neo, think!
He knelt down beside her, his hands hovering over the wound. He had to stop the bleeding, but with what? "Lie still." He said as calmly as he could.
Then his eyes changed from dusky brown to an unnatural green. The veins in his hands seemed to flow with emerald. Slowly, plants began to rise from the earth. His face and hands strained, almost seeming to pull them out of the ground by sheer willpower.

Xyla winced and braced herself for him to kill him, but opened his eyes to him working his magic. A magic she could've utilized, but in the moment she had been too weak to do so. She looked up at him as a soft breeze carried his hair backwards, revealing a handsome Spirits her age, his face mottled with spots as was hers. She couldn't let that distract her, she thought. He could still be out to hurt her, endanger her, or worse. She braced herself as the plants neared her bleeding abdomen.

Yael snorted, "I said pick one, if that's your choice then fine its yours. These are from all my contacts, what's left of them anyways." She replied as she watched the girl take up the crossbow, not so unlike her own, although a more basic model. "you want to survive out here, learn to use that thing." She said harshly this girl would get chewed up and spit out without training. Much like she would've been had her mentor not taken her under his wing.

Erin nodded, looking at it with an admiration, immediately putting away her dagger. She saw how the strings operated, how she had to pull them back to lock it in place before firing an arrow. She looked up at Yael and thanked her honestly, before returning her sight to her weapon.

(Nooooot sure if this is geologically accurate for this plant to be in this rainforest. But we've got spotted angel people talking to critters, so who cares?)

Tiny vines with yellow flowers crawled over her skin, covering the nasty claw marks. His eyes fixed on willing the herb out of the ground. Trying not to think about her. Or the weight of the situation. Or the blood.
When they had completely covered the scratch, he held his breath and forced the vine to split open. Juice flowed from it and onto her body. He heaved a sigh and sat back, breathing hard.

Yael grabbed a quiver with some bolts in it and a holster for the crossbow. "here your going to need some bolts. You also need some training otherwise your dead. You have anyone you know?" She asked bluntly.

(LOL)

The scratches stung, as Xyla bit her tongue to distract herself. Once they were wrapped around her, she breathed out, only to be greeted with a sting that she could only liken to being melted alive, which almost immediately faded into nothing. She looked down at the vines that had wrapped around her stomach. The ooze that seeped from it, it was numbing everything. She looked up at him, shyly whispering "Thank you." She studied his heavy breathing, realizing how much effort that had taken. If it wasn't for him, she could've been dead: bled out on the jungle floor.

Erin answered with a frank "No." as she took the gifts she was being bestowed, equipping the holster and filling it with the bolts. After that, she looked up expectedly at Yael, waiting for a follow-up to her simple response.

He smiled as they both sat there, panting. "No problem." He breathed. "It's cat's claw. Kind of-" Huff. "kind of ironic, huh?" Then he glanced over to the dead cat. It wasn't far. Only as much as she had been able to drag herself. He raked his hair back, "I'm- I'm Neo."
