Yael sneered at the girl. "I'm not doing this out of kindness to you, I'm doing it for my dead mentor. As to your other comment of course you won't because you'd never have the chance." She said in a cold tone. It wasn't that she disliked the girl or anyone else for that matter. But the world was a harsh place and connections they were often weaknesses. That was what had gotten her former mentor killed, he was protecting her, and he was dead because of it.Erin listened attentively, listening to every detail of her story. It was perfect, she had found a mentor on her first day, and she clearly knew her stuff. She responded "That would be really kind of you, and I accept." She added with a little grin "And I won't burn you. Promise."
Xyla squirmed at his touch. She didn't know him at all. But then again, how else was she going to get home? She relaxed her back, a silent message that it was ok. She looked up into his eyes, asking if she could trust him without even opening her mouth, using a look instead.
Xyla, more confident she could trust him now, relaxed any tense muscles, submitting to his grasp entirely, placing all her trust in him. She gazed up at him, wondering what he was thinking as they walked, quietly directing him to her small hut in the Outskirts of the Tribe of Jaguar center. If he could carry her all the way to her home, she was quite convinced he was strong. In a way, this was just a confirmation that she had a new crush. For a moment his heart felt as if it might stop. But then she relaxed, and he breathed a shuttering sigh of relief. No stabbing. No slap. As he chanced a look into her eyes, he saw something that he had never seen before.
(Gtg. Workie time.)
Erin nodded, she was used to harsh directions. She silently wondered if she might betray her, sink a dagger in her back when she least suspected it, then promptly disposed of that idea, analyzing the reality: she hadn't killed her, she was offering to help, and she had gifted her a weapon. Erin wanted to ask when they would start, but decided to keep her mouth shut, as Yael would lead her to wherever she should be lead to. Erin double-checked her holster and awaited for a response to her nod.Yael sneered at the girl. "I'm not doing this out of kindness to you, I'm doing it for my dead mentor. The man handed Horius two scrolls after their quick talk, one for himself, and one for Silver. The difficulty level of his mission was much harder, as made sense. He directed Silver out of the place, handing her a scroll as they exited. Her mission pertained to killing a stray Spirit in Dust territory, much like the easy bounty she had before. He rolled open his scroll to see a bounty for three particular Scavenger guards, a much harder mission. Knowing she could get annoyed at the disparity between the two, he tried to read the scroll facing away from her.Silver scoffed a bit, she didn't plan on talking anyway, it wasn't her strong suit and she knew that, she didn't need this Dust telling her what she already knows. Silver followed him silently, taking note of how the cavern changed when they walked in, she continued to observe as he talked with another man.
Yael headed back outside and set up some targets in the distance. She had some jobs to do but no way was she taking the girl with her if she couldn't protect herself. She would give her a little training first. "first learn how to use your crossbow, start simple hit all the targets while not moving. Once you can do that then you will work on rapid fire aiming, you move and shoot but the targets are still stationary." She explained as she pulled out her crossbow and fired off several shots into the targets.Erin nodded, she was used to harsh directions.
