Silver's frowned in confusion and curiosity "A war? That's strange, there isn't really any going on now expect for a skirmish between Ocarles and Scavengers but what else is new" she remarks, she usually stayed out of wars though, she goes into one then her brother follows and honestly that would be a disaster so she may be wrong with her information so now she was really curious
Horius responded simply "The Scavengers are assembling a mass army to overtake the other tribes, mainly the Oracles. I've seen what they are forging underground, and how much money I will receive from this little war. That's all you need to know for now, vixen." Horius stopped after that, he hadn't meant to call her that, it was just what his father had always called his mother. Oh, his demons were returning to haunt him. He didn't know what else to say other than "Never mind that.", fighting his inner feelings quietly, now more wanting to leave her.

Elytra stuttered. "Um... Me and Misty friend... I mean Misty, my friend, and I, were.. Umm... Going on... A picnic..." She trailed off, wincing at how lame her excuse was. She gave up. "Fine. If you really want to know, I was trying to escape my sisters constant babysitting and go explore the island, maybe learn more about the different angels, but my plans were wrecked, just like always." She stopped, wondering why the heck she was telling him so much
Harrison's breath caught as he mentally facepalmed. This is why you don't talk to people, Harrison. He reprimanded himself. He took a deep breath, then rushed after the oracle he had just upset. "Look, forget what I said. I really should have thought that through a lot more. I just don't normally talk to... Well, anyone, really. I guess I was just so desperate for sometimes me who could understand..." he trailed off, realizing he had probably just dug himself into a deeper hole. I should really just stop talking. He told himself.

Xyla hesitated, she hated admitting it, but she had received the truth from him, so she would make sure the vice versa was the same. Xyla began softly, "I...am a failure." Those words burned her heart with the venom of what she saw to be truth. "My parents, both medics, threw me out because I wasn't strong enough. I had no one. I joined the Jaguar Tribe..." She didn't have anything else to say. That was it. She added "And have been living alone, in that small hut, every single day since, trying to convince myself I'm not a failure without succeeding." She kept her eyes at the floor, not wanting to look hi in the eyes.
He grinned. If this weren't a story based in the past, 'Misfits' by Rudolph and Kirby would have popped into his head. He might have even hummed a few bars. But he didn't because that was impossible. Instead, he pulled a chair out for her. Then a knock came at the door.

Xyla took the seat with a smile, which faded into a neutral expression as she looked towards the door.

(Nevermind @Rubysword just saw this.) Iris muttered absently, as if she wasn't there anymore "I know how it feels." She added slowly, with obvious hesitation "And I try to pretend I don't. With success. But you made me realize there's no reason to hide it anymore. I'm lost anyways." She looked down at her feet, this was a new side to herself she hadn't seen, or liked, for that matter. But more and more the will to keep on going ebbed out of her.

Akala leaned on the door frame. A smirk tugged at her lips, "So this is your treasured guest." She snorted, "I should have guessed as much."
Xyla was about to reply when she realized that she shouldn't be doing any of the talking. It was Neo's house, or tribe at least, and she had to respect that. Even though she wasn't liking all of these strangers glaring at and observing her like she was an alien. She was being seen as more of a spectacle than a person, and she was starting to grow uneasy with that current truth.

"Akala, what the carp? Get out or I'll... I'll report you." He said.
She snickered, "Is that the best threat you can come up with?" Waltzing into the room, she flopped into the chair opposite the the two, resting her chin on her wrist. "How about 'or else I'll grab your jaw and push down until it unhinges?' Now that I might worry about."

Neo gripped the back of Zyla's chair as the image flashed in his mind. Where had that come from? Surely she wasn't actually threatening them?

The girl fiddled with the leafy centerpiece, "I invited myself to your little party. The chief is bringing someone, too. Not sure who."

Xyla was growing uneasy, but didn't show it outwardly. She looked up at Neo questioningly, asking if he knew what he was doing with just a look. She didn't need something else to worry about, and this Akala girl made it sound as if the individual the chief was bringing wasn't the most pleasant of people to be surprised by.
