(Oh, great. I have a thing to write, but I dunno how to describe. Oh, well. Here I go.)Xyla replied honestly "No, I don't. It's just me here. I don't really know too many people in my tribe, so I'm almost always alone." She looked up at him wearily as he set her on her small bed, commenting "You're really strong, Neo, for carrying me all the way here. Thank you." She shot him one of those meek looks his way, getting lost in his eyes as they gazed at each other in her small house. She could feel her skin getting goosebumps, and of course he would be able to see that. Great. She tried switching the conversation, but stuttered and therefore failed in doing so.
Someone would have to take care of her, and he had a sneaking suspension that the healer wasn't going to come down here to get her a cup of water in the middle of the night.
Then she said it, and his cheeks lit up.
Stong? Him? He blushed even harder. She was doing the staring thing again. Look away. Go. Run, before the boyfriend finds you and.... Then he found himself staring, too. Listening to her breathe. Say something. Anything. Break the spell. "Iumg-" then she did the same. Awkward silence. "Well, uh-" they both spoke at once. Another silence, each waiting for the other to speak.
At last he pulled away, rubbing the back of his neck. Then immediately hid his arms behind his back nervously. "I, um. Better get the medic." He said, them pointed to the door. Quit moving your arms, idiot. Be still. He noted the goosebumps on her arms, but it was more of a subconscious thing. He stumbled out the door, a little faster than he had intended.
Stupid, stupid, stupid! He thought, then took to the sky toward the Panther central.
