This is why it's hard to keep chickens! I just had these fluffy silkie chicks hatch last night from my own silkie eggs. I want to keep them so badly, but they're already sold! Maybe I can keep a few of the ones that are hatching in 2 days...no one will notice, right?!🤔😆

Awesome thread!
I started out with a flock of 9ish chickens, was happy with a small flock, loved the eggs and enjoyed the experience. 💕
Than........

Chicken math happened!

Now I have a flock of 10 ducks, 5 standard chickens and 8, soon to be more bantams lol! I plan on having a rooster pen for my upcoming breeding project, and putting up breeding pens to do a small business selling bantam and standard chicks with a friend next summer. I would like to have Laughing chickens eventually as well.....
If you were closer then maybe you could have some of mine… 😂

My husband was looking up our breeds online and figured we may "only" average 20 eggs per week.

He said, "If I eat 3 per day, we will need more chickens."

I've been saying that all along! We NEED more chickens! 🤣

BRB gotta go buy some chicks..... 😝
Don't miss your chance!!!! GO!

Yes! Run to TSC before he changes his mind! This is a rare occurrence.
