In my mother's house clothes were organized in the closet by #1 color, #2 sleeve length.

Not to mention the fact that you couldn't enjoy a cold drink, because if you set it down for even a second the glass was emptied and washed.

Before I moved in with DH I was a minimalist. You could fit everything I owned into one room of this house and have room leftover. Less stuff, less to move around and clean.
Now I'm married to a hoarder that comes from a long line of hoarders.
I've learned to go to my happy place in my mind, where everything shines and dust bunnies don't exist.

dishes can go in the dish washer or leave them in the sink, but I'm the one that just PREPARED the meal, someone else can do the dishes and my son's will always have them done and the chickens their 2nd feeding all before I get home from work...and will even do extra's like vacuum if I ask, is nice to come home to a somewhat neat house!

the closet isn't that bad, but all my stuff is hung up by outfit, and which day of the week I am gonna wear it. Ken's stuff is all pants, then short sleeve shirts and then long sleeve.

The glasses - I am almost that bad because we have hard water and if someone leaves a glass with ice in I almost need limeaway to clean it.

I had to vote obsessive compulsive mainly because you redid them in the morning anyway. Which I'm pretty sure you knew would happen..... I'm all for a clean kitchen but not double work. I woulda just rinsed the food off and washed them in the morning when I could see them and make sure they were getting clean.
