Well of course things are folded in thirds! Is there any other way? The other night I was very tired (from cleaning) yet I still had tons of laundry waiting to be folded on the bed, so DH offered to help. I stayed very quiet while he folded the bath towels in half and the dish towels, OMG the dish towels in squares!

When he was finished he made the mistake of asking me if they were folded right.
I taught him about the three folds rule.
Don't even get me started on the toothbrush thing. Toothbrushes are not disposable! They are great cleaning tools!

I fold my towels in threes too. Ken is not allowed to touch the laundry.

I can't stand leaving dirty dishes out. I assume they'll attract all sorts of insects.

I had a college housemate who left all the dishes dirty, and washed what he needed. Drove me crazy. One summer, I was away for about a week camping, and he'd gone off to Europe with his mother shortly before I returned. I got back to the house to find that he'd left all the dishes dirty and piled everywhere. 90+ degrees, no AC, house all sealed up that way for a week ...

I washed the dishes that I owned, and took all the ones that he owned and put them in a trash bag in a trash can in the garage. When he got back a month later, he decided he'd rather buy new dishes instead of dealing with that bag. Only cured him of his ways for a couple months, though ... eventually I had to find a new place to live.

I'm surprised that we never had rats/roaches/mice with his habits.

Folks, you are a bunch of obsessive complusive wingnuts, and I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Dishes can wait till daylight; and ladies, if you cook, then the hubby gets to clean up. I only do the stuff that won't go in the dishwasher.

Nah, after he's busted his butt for 10 hours a day earning us a living, I don't mind doing the dishes. I also enjoy mowing the lawn.
If I was working, I might feel differently but for now, his job is on the streets and mine is in this house.
However, if he ever offered to help with the dusting I'd take him up on it in a heartbeat!

Well I always do dishes when I cook, but after we're through eating sometimes I will leave them since the drain rack is already full from the first wash. I guess I'm not too obsessive about it.

However, I've only been working a food joint for 5 days and I'm pretty sure that they think I'm the dishes nazi there. There's not much room for the required air dry, so it's much better if you can wash a few at a time and get them dried before the mother load comes in. I tell myself it's just thinking/planning ahead. I'm not obsessive.

Besides, the winter when I was remodeling the kitchen....I washed dishes outside in the COLD with a garden hose and an extra sink propped up on cinder blocks. An oil lamp is NOTHING compared to that! Dishes gotta be washed occasionally even during remodel - especially if there is no where to pile them up because there is no sink or countertop because one is on order and the old one is out on the back porch! Needless to say, we ate out more than usual until the indoor plumbing was finished.
