Day 19 ... and I have a pipped chick! What? I only put them into lockdown 12 hours ago. Does this point to issues later on?

Wry neck baby is doing a lot better. Head only flips back for a brief moment then he corrects it. He can eat without me supporting his head now although cant drink without support as he slams face first into food and water

The call of the eggs is too strong.
I have some broody hens, so I gave them the 6 eggs up front. I candled the carton, these 6 had good air cells, but are still probably a week old from a health food store, but the farm is local. The hens (2) both on the same nest, took to the eggs, but it got cold last night so I put them in incubator. due 19th. The 3 to the back are from my hens, just testing fertility. May be doe 21st. (posting in this thread since it is still Oct.) Nest week or so I may have 12 from Alabama.
