Oh no! That is always my fear when I hatch chicks for people haha. I had a wait list, hatched the babies and then half of them ghosted me. I know it is part of the process, but it's a bummer. But like @Gammas Bearded Babies said, now you can see how they grow out and keep the best ones!

Yes, my very business minded daughter gets on my case for not getting deposits every time.
Actually excited about Layla‘s babies, I haven’t had any of hers other than week old chicks before because they always got sold. She has the best type of all my birds.

@LadiesAndJane Layla is gorgeous!!!

I got 1 buff hatched and 2 external pips showing a little progress.
Tonight is actually the 21 day mark...and this is a new incubator. I haven't removed the one that hatched cause of the 2 pipped so it's just hanging out all over the other eggs sleeping while the 1 wk old cochins get as excited as I do when we hear a chirp over in the incubator lol!
They are a hoot!

Ugh...can't sleep for nothing!!!
Meanwhile babies hatching like crazy! Hated to wake the cochins so flashlight check showed atleast 5 I think and 2 more zipping!
