I think I need more pics from @LadiesAndJane and @Gammas Bearded Babies recent babies!! need my chick fix! My shipped eggs are cooking and due to hatch 11/2. Out of 19 eggs I think I have a good chance with 4 of them, still a question about 4-6 more. The rest were scrambled, infertile, or early blood rings. Aria can’t wait for her own all white chicken such a weirdo haha. I’ve grown to appreciate the color on specific builds with the red wattle/comb contrast…but patterns and unique colors are definitely my jam :-D

So sorry you only have a few eggs left. Are these the Olandsk?
Plan to get new photos of the shipped egg babies tomorrow after coming home a few hours ago from three days of work.
My daughter helped me give all the chicks their Marek’s vaccine this evening and they’ve all chunked up and look super cute! Amazing how much they grow in just three days!
We did end up losing the one little porcelain/light partridge chick that was weak from the beginning. So there are 7 chicks remaining.
One of the chicks from my test hatch appears to be vision impaired. I noticed it when it kept running into the sides of the brooder. It does seem to track hand movements but I think you have to be super close to its face for it to see anything. Maybe just sees shadows or shapes, but definitely something going on with it.
Keeping it in a smaller brooder and keeping the food and water always in the same spot, it does seem to be figuring out how to eat and drink without any problems. So we’re hanging onto this one unless we can find somebody who wants a blind chicken! And we’re also hanging onto Odette, the only dominant white I hatched out of the two test hatches.
So 9 chicks to grow out for now.
Definitely can’t keep all of them though!

I'm so sorry I know yall were as happy as I was bout that color! And the lil blind baby! OMGeeze! There is a group of people on Facebook that luv to take care of special needs chickens! Might be worth looking into!
I got so much going on with catching opossums and coons and grandkids andn2 pregnant daughters and DH outta town and Joey in ICU in garage I hadn't been able to take pics! I did get em moved to brooder so the last one could possibly hatch. But I'm not hopeful.

Awww I’m so sorry you lost the little porcelain baby! What a bummer :-( I just lost my mostly blind chicken, she was the most wonderful, sweet girl. It’s like the handicap makes them more calm and trusting of you. I hope your little baby finds a niche either with you or someone else’s flock!

My eggs are a batch of white d’Anvers from a breeder in Tennessee. I’m very excited for some higher quality birds and Aria just has to have an all white bird for some reason! She asks me constantly when she gets to have one. So, hopefully it’s now! I sort of expected these rates of success. End of laying season, shipped from TN…but I also don’t need a lot more chickens so it’s probably for the best .

I would agree, I didn't see any movement at all. Sorry you lost it.
