October Hatch-a-long!

I go into lockdown on Wednesday! So excited and scared! Planning in my head how to keep the humidity high enough in the incubator.

Time is going by fast!

What helped me keep the humidity high enough was the usual sponges at the bottom & a cloth or another sponge at the top of the incubator. I still had to check it every hour or 2 but once they start hatching it gets really crazy with the fluctuation; hope you have better luck the way you set it up.

Tomorrow I put my first Silkie egg in Lockdown, from my first own Breeding pair and not from shipped eggs. I am so excited for my little baby, my little Miss Piggy is such a good layer. Just heat up the Hatcher for tomorrow

My 15 Marans Eggs go on lockdown tomorrow morning I have 3 hygrometers calibrating tonight so I will be sure of the humidity on lock down. I am so nervous!

Just put my eggs in 3 days ago this evening, I haven't even counted all I know is that I have 7 Lavender AM of my own, and then the other 20+ I'm hatching for a friend.. I figured why not!

Ok, We are on day 20! I have definitely seen movement, but no pips yet. Temp and humidity have been stable. I can't stare at the incubator anymore, it is giving me a headache. Off to find something to do.
