don't think it's supposed to. I know with shipped eggs I had to let them sit so the air sac could reattach in case it separated during shipping.I have 11 eggs under a broody. This is day 7, I looked at some and did see some veins but does the air sac move?

no they may be fine under the broody. What happens in the egg is a mysterious thing. This is my first hatch. I have read a lot but not on Broodys bc I am using an incubator. Hopefully she will have good maternal instincts and they will be fine. Thanks skitzkle.
I didn't know that about shipped eggs. I read that after having put them under the broody! then I thought since they sat for a couple hours before I unpacked them it should be ok but I didn't know why they were supposed to sit. Does that mean they will die?
I sure hope so! now i'm afraid to touch them, I was going to candle some more when she gets off them for a break but don't know if I should now.No

I didn't candle mine at all. They are dark and didn't really know what I was looking at. In my humble opinion I would leave them alone and trust your broody. Candling won't change the outcome. This all just my opinion.I sure hope so! now i'm afraid to touch them, I was going to candle some more when she gets off them for a break but don't know if I should now.
If this works it'll be my first hatch also.
This is minnesota and it's getting cold so if this doesn't work I'll wait until spring and pray for another broody.
