Hi all! Mind if I join?
I set about 30 chicken eggs and 12 duck eggs during September, from the 16th to the 30th, and then I added quail that are due about the 17th. Right now 6-8 of the chicken eggs have pipped, and I'm off to check for more internal pips.
Good luck everyone!

Skitzkle, love the pics! For shipped eggs I'd say that is an excellent hatch rate! Glad it all worked out for you <3

one out of 6 eggs are fertile mystery egg came from the international show in wi big white egg is for sure a chicken anyone know what it could be? due to hatch the 20th!

I need advice. I have both LF and banty eggs in my bator. Day 18 was Friday. I checked on them and, wow, a banty had already hatched. They have been hatching each day. Now on Sunday, day 20, none have even pipped. Since the ones I have hatched on day 18, should I assume that the remaining are not going to hatch?

there can be hatches up to day 25. I was in the July hatch-a-long someone mentioned they stopped incubating at day 25 and forgot about the egg in the incubator and heard some peeping a couple days later. Sure enough, a chick hatched day 27! It is rare but anything can happen. What I would do is candle them and check for an internal pip. If you can't candle them sometimes you can tap on the egg and you'll hear it peeping from the inside. Sometimes you don't have to take them out, you can make peeping noises and you can see them rocking.
