Does anybody have a picture of heating plate? I don't think I've seen them here. So I ordered ceramic heating bulbs.

They have cheaper ones that's just the first one I saw. I was looking at one that is $30 I think. I just use heat bulbs right now because I've had good success with them. I use a lizard heat bulb that's 75 watt because they're inside and my house is already quite warm because I'm always cold.Never seen anything like that.. thanks. I will stick to ceramic heating bulbs as they are way cheaper than the heating plate. FYI 75$ is 1/5 of my monthly income.
I'm using a red bulb and I don't want too but that's what I have right now. I want to order a heat plate for my next hatch in November.
I usually wean mine off heat fairly quick because my house is warm in the winter months. I have my chicken tractor almost built, we put 5 inches of leaves in it to keep them warm and to also create compost. I'm planning on keeping them inside for 3 weeks then gradually weaning them to outside (I say this but it's all the chicks decision). I let the chicks tell me what they want...Best thing ever, just sayin. I used the heat lamp for my first batch and one night I fecided enough was enough with their parties and just unplugged it...that was the end of heat for the first batch. They were fully feathered thiugh.

@igorsMistress you said you take chicks out once they're fluffed and dry, correct? I know some of mine are going to hatch later so if some hatch out today I want to put them in the brooder once they're ready.
