October-hatch-along 2019

No chicks yet. Maybe tomorrow? I will candle them again when I get home in morning. I always set my eggs so idk since we found these partially developed. The quail are making their appearance popping out like popcorn all day.

Woke up to 3 yellows and 8 black chicks! 3 are still trying to come out so I'm waiting for them to come out and fluff then I'll be moving them all

I took out the most dry ones because they were trampling everything like bulls in a China shop. I still have some drying and some are hatching

Well good morning and Happy All Hallows' Eve! We have tiny leghorn this morning! Just walked in the door from an overnight shift and peeked in the incubator... As soon as I make my rounds and get them settled I'll take some pictures. Yay!

Now the single yellow one doesn't feel left out

I have more in the incubator drying, and there are several zipped eggs I think about eight. I can't really tell because the chickens are crazy and running around like lunatics!

I had to laugh whenever I took a closer look. You see, we thought Miss Lake Ann was only hanging out with the leghorn rooster in my avatar, Prince Albert. She doesn't like to stay in the run with the other chickens so she free ranges. Looks like she snuck over to the turkens!!
