Iām sure theyāll be adorable! You just gave me a great idea for a photo prop! Iāll have to wait for my next batch, cause I think itāll work better with 1-2 day old chicks.

I apologize about butting in if I am, but I joined the october hatch-a-long with 8 little chicks who are about 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 weeks old, and I swear iām already seeing one potential boy.
This is the suspect in question, not much but pretty clear wattle spots for a chick 3-4 days off from being 3 weeks old and itās comb already looks pinkish. Im trying not to make assumptions until a month old but gosh im paranoid this will be a boy.

I got a bantam cochin that has a comb that popped up overnight not quite 2 weeks old!!!Looks pretty male to me.
What breed?
I've been able to ID some fast-growing, large-combed breeds as early as 2 weeks.
