October hatch "Grow-a-long"🐄

Pics
Looks pretty male to me.

What breed?

I've been able to ID some fast-growing, large-combed breeds as early as 2 weeks.
just a barnyard mix. Both parents were also mutts, but the father wasn’t as quick of a maturer so the quickness of comb/wattles popping up is surprising. Another one from the hatch, a peacomb(heterozygous for peacomb I mean) chick also has it’s comb getting larger already.

I take notes on the chicks comb development as soon as I get suspicious and keep track.

I apologize about butting in if I am, but I joined the october hatch-a-long with 8 little chicks who are about 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 weeks old, and I swear i’m already seeing one potential boy.
This is the suspect in question, not much but pretty clear wattle spots for a chick 3-4 days off from being 3 weeks old and it’s comb already looks pinkish. Im trying not to make assumptions until a month old but gosh im paranoid this will be a boy.

Wow beautiful! What project? I love them!
Awe! They r darlings! What kinda project ya got going!?!
I’m creating a new variety/color of D’Uccles. It’s called Brown Red Mottled DUccles. The chicks I shared are F2s of the project. I can share pics of the grandparents, parents and grow outs if any one wants to see them!:)

Adorable babies!šŸ˜
Are they bantam cochins? Some look mottled.😊
They don’t have any Cochin in them. They’ve got about 1/4 of Japanese in them and the rest of the % is D’Uccles. They’re are mottled ones and a few regular colored ones (Mille Fleur) because I haven’t got my project to breed true mottled yet. I think, I may be wrong, it’s because the Mille Fleur (gold columbian pattern) is a recessive gene, I think.:)
